You can now upload photographs to the map! Just navigate to the place where you took the photograph and click on the map - then click the "add photo" link in the window that pops up. (Right now we can only accept photos that were taken in roadless areas)

Idaho Petition map added
The map now includes an overlay of the Idaho Petition map. Click on the "legend" link above the map. Then click "Show Idaho Petition Map"
Place name search added
You can now search search the map for geographic place names for anywhere in the US. You can find mountains, rivers, valleys, basins - nearly anything outside that has a name. Just click on the "Search Panel" tab on the right hand side of the map to try out a search
Maps now include over 2000 Photos from Panoramio!
Roadlessland.org now searches Panoramio for photographs that were taken in roadless areas. These photos appear in greater numbers as you zoom in to an area. You can quickly see all the photos in an area by clicking on a link in the pop-up window.
Recreation.Gov sites added to maps!
Roadlessland.org now includes all of the recreations sites from Recreation.gov. These include all govt campgrounds, cabins and other recreation sites. The markers appear when you zoom into an area, and the pop-up info includes links to the reservation pages for every site.
